It features a high-resolution flatbed scanner with one of the highest color depths we’ve tested, which is great if you want to scan photos and keep them accurate. Unfortunately, it is very slow to print color and black only documents, and photos take almost a minute and a half. It supports wireless printing via Wi-Fi, Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service, but does not include the USB-A to USB-B cable required for wired printing.

The Canon G3260 has decent build quality. It features a durable plastic housing and a detachable power cord that makes it easy to replace when needed. Make sure that jammed paper and ink tanks are easily accessible by lifting the top cover.

The scanner lid can be left open by itself, but the damper on the lid is not very good so it can close if you don’t drive it carefully. Unfortunately, the individual ink caps look fragile. Plus, it only has a USB Type B port, so you can’t connect it to your router with an Ethernet cable or use it wirelessly. Interestingly, the necessary USB cable is not included.

Canon G3260 has a defective screen. It is a vertically tilted two-line monochrome LCD. Although you have good visibility, if you look at it directly, the text is difficult to read from the side. It has the same physical buttons on the panel as the Canon PIXMA G2260, but also includes an Easy Wireless Connect button that allows the computer to recognize the printer during installation. You can also use it every time you connect to a new computer or mobile device to simplify the process.

The Canon G3260 has an amazing cartridge system. With four high-capacity ink tanks, it offers exceptional page counts for black and white and color inks, so you don’t need to refill them often, even if you print a lot. However, the printer will not allow color printing if the black ink bottle is empty.

While it is technically possible to refill the supertank with third party ink, we have not tested it and it is not recommended to do so. Low-quality ink can damage the printheads, and unlike standard inkjet printers, the ink simply can’t be removed if a problem occurs. Using third party consumables may also void the warranty.

The Canon G3260 has a surprisingly low cost per print. Since your super tank system produces many pages, there is no need to frequently refill or buy new ink tanks, which keeps costs down.

Plus, your cost per photo is one of the lowest we’ve tested. You can also sign up for Canon’s automatic refill service, which automatically orders and delivers ink bottles when they run out.

The Canon G3260 prints very slowly. The first page of a Word document containing only black text appears after a while, and subsequent pages are barely speeded up. Color documents are also very slow, and unlike the Canon PIXMA G1220 and Canon PIXMA G2260, even photos take a long time. Automatic two-sided printing is not possible, so you must turn each page manually when required.

Canon G3260 has several options, such as Canon PIXMA G1220, which does not have a scanner, and Canon PIXMA G2260, which also has a flatbed scanner. However, none of them can print wirelessly like the G3260. Note that the model number may differ slightly depending on the region.
